Backlit Photo

Here in this photo, the photographer has metered on the subject. This creates the effect of the subject is in focus and in full detail whereas the light is creeping in from behind. Although I love the contrast in the photo, I would maybe experiment to change the lighting to create a higher key backlit photo. If this photo had opposite lighting and the photographer had metered on the light, then it would be an inversion of the original photo. The light would be completely white and the subject would be almost unseeable / completely dark.
